7 Things We’re Looking Forward to This Year

Are we nuts for being optimistic about 2022? Nope. There’s a lot of great stuff on the horizon. Here’s what we’re excited about in 2022.

The World Cup

Okay, it’s a little odd to have a World Cup in November, but we’ll take it. We can’t wait to fire up the ol’ big screen TV and eat snack foods sourced from around the world to match the teams we’re watching play.

Better Physical Health

Sure, it’s a New Year’s cliché. But we’re looking into couch-to-5k programs or low barrier to entry activities like pickleball, hiking, and rec soccer.

Better Home Tech

Two years of working from home and learning from screens has made us want better home setups, better home networks, and faster internet. So upgrading everything has become our January project.

A Mentally Healthier Year

We’re taking our mental health more seriously. More work-life balance, more self-care, more care for others, a bit of professional help, and trying new things to see what brings us joy—it’s all on the table.

All the New Stuff

A bunch of new electric vehicles will hit the market in 2022. There’s also a boatload of cool movies coming out, such as Death on the Nile, The Batman, and Legally Blonde 3. And we’re looking forward to new TV shows, such as Peacemaker, House of Dragon, and Brideshead Revisited. And new seasons of our favourite shows, such as Stranger Things, Ozark, and Outlander. And 2022 will see a packed game release schedule, with God of War 2, Elden Ring, Total War: Warhammer III, and Starfield.

Flexible Working

Sometimes it’s nice to collaborate in the same physical space. Sometimes it’s nice to work from home. Nicest of all: when you get to choose and do what’s best for your own productivity.

Whatever Comes Next

It’s been a rough couple of years. But hope springs eternal and there are so many good things that could happen in 2022. Happy New Year!
