April’s Must-See TV & Movies

Hold onto your couch cushions! April just might be the most important month of 2019 for entertainment. We’re marking our calendars with these must-see TV and movies!

Here are our top six picks for the month of April.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – Netflix, April 5

Sabrina and the gang are back for Season Two, and we can’t wait to see what happens next in this reboot of the classic hit. In this darker, witchier version, the teenage witch herself looks to uncover the truth about her family’s history and supernatural powers. With so many twists and turns in the premier season, who knows what surprises will happen next?

The NCAA Championships – TSN, April 6

After an intense March Madness, we’re getting the gang together for the final game of the season! All five national outlets will be showing the big game, so we’re breaking out the chips and dip and getting ready for the pre-game coverage kicking off at 8:30 p.m. ET live on TSN and TSN GO.

Fosse/Verdon – F/X, April 9

A miniseries of eight breathtaking episodes recounting the romantic and creative partnership that changed the face of American entertainment. Together, Gwen Verdon (Michelle Williams), the most famous Broadway dancer of all time, and Bob Fosse (Sam Rockwell), one of the industry’s most influential filmmakers and choreographers, were the force that shaped the modern musical.

What got them there? And at what cost?

Game of Thrones – HBO, April 14

WINTER IS HERE! Alliances have been forged and broken, pacts have been made and destroyed. For seven seasons we’ve seen characters lie, cheat, and steal their way towards the Iron Throne, and the White Walkers have become an unstoppable enemy in the fight between the living and the dead. We’re still reeling from the realization that the Night King has an Ice Dragon. With six mega-sized episodes, we’ll be on the edge of our seats every Sunday night until we know the final fate of John Snow.

Someone Great – Netflix, April 19

If the popularity of Netflix’s previous romcom productions is any indication, this full-length feature is going to fill our newsfeeds, and we want to be first on the train. Jenny (Gina Rodriguez) just landed her dream job. Only she lives in New York, and her dream job is in San Fran. When her boyfriend breaks her heart, Jenny’s besties, Erin (DeWanda Wise) and Blair (Brittany Snow), decide what she needs is one last hurrah in the Big Apple. Friendship, love, and coming into adulthood, all wrapped in one hilarious heartfelt package. Our personal pints of Häagen Dazs are ready.

Avengers: Endgame – Cineplex, April 26

We’ve been waiting for this one. Obviously, we’re going to rewatch Infinity War just to refresh – but really, who could forget that heart-dropping end when Thanos wiped out half of all life (and a throng of superheroes) after activating the Infinity Gauntlet? We’ve been filled with existential dread and we need to know how it ends.

Those are our top picks! Which ones will you be tuning in for?
